Vintage Electric Piano is a keyboard instrument plugin that simulates the sound of Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and Hohner Electra pianos using component modeling synthesis. It recreates the physical characteristics of classic electric pianos including tine movement, pickup behavior, and authentic attack and decay characteristics, with integrated effects for shaping the tone.

Things to Try

  • 01Suppress treble and bass frequency ranges with the EQ to achieve a sound with a more dominant mid-range
  • 02Use low Tone values in the Drive effect to set a mellow tonal color; if too soft, boost the EQ Treble control
  • 03Use higher Tone values in the Drive effect for harsh distortion characteristics; if too aggressive, suppress the EQ Treble control
  • 04For authentic Wurlitzer sound, select Stereo value of 0 degrees on Tremolo; for Rhodes sounds, set Stereo value to 180 degrees
