It enables intuitive creation, editing, and real-time swapping of drum kits with support for 16 multi-layered patches per bank. FPC excels at creating realistic acoustic drum kits through velocity-sensitive layering and offers flexible sample manipulation with envelope control.

Things to Try

  • 01Enable Random layers and overlap velocity ranges to trigger subtle variations between samples and avoid mechanical-sounding repeated hits
  • 02Use CUT and BY controls to make an open hi-hat cut by a closed hi-hat for more realistic drum kit behavior
  • 03Right-click on sample preview windows and select 'Select region' to isolate specific regions or markers within drum loops
  • 04Drag samples from the Browser or File Explorer directly onto Pads to load them in the selected layer
