Fruity Convolver is a real-time convolution plugin that applies the sonic character of one sound to another through impulse responses, enabling reverberation effects, acoustic space emulation, and linear phase equalization. It can capture audio signatures from acoustic spaces, hardware equipment, or plugin effects, offering deep creative control through impulse manipulation and customizable EQ shaping of the convolved signal.

Things to Try

  • 01Use the Trigger impulse feature to record a plugin effect: load two Fruity Convolver instances in FX slots 1 and 3 with the target effect in slot 2, press record on slot 3, then trigger the impulse on slot 1 to capture the effect signature
  • 02Apply a gentle U-shaped EQ curve to impulses that excite mid-range frequencies too strongly, using the Impulse Equalizer to restore balanced frequency response
  • 03Load a Linear phase EQ preset and set the equalizer curve for mastering applications, allowing Fruity Convolver to automatically apply correct Plugin Delay Compensation
  • 04Adjust the Delay control to reduce CPU load when impulses contain silence at the start, as Fruity Convolver automatically detects and compensates for these pre-delay periods
