Fruity Stereo Shaper is a multi-purpose stereo imaging tool that provides precise control over left/right channel mixing, stereo width manipulation, and M/S (mid/side) signal processing. It can enhance or reduce stereo information, enable phase inversion, split channels, and create pseudo-stereo effects on mono inputs, making it essential for stereo mastering, channel isolation, and creative stereo effects.

Things to Try

  • 01For stereo expansion, set Left into Right and Right into Left sliders to -6 dB (-50%) to widen the stereo image while preserving side signals at full strength
  • 02Create pseudo-stereo on mono sources using the Delay preset with settings between 20-40 ms (default is 30 ms R channel delay)
  • 03Remove center-panned vocals by setting Left into Right and Right into Left sliders to 0 dB (-100%) to cancel common signals while preserving unique L/R content
  • 04For M/S mastering, boost the SIDE track by up to +6 dB relative to MID to maximize stereo effect without diminishing the stereo image
