Obsidian

Obsidian is a multi-effects plugin that functions as a creative instrument rather than a traditional audio processor, transforming the timbre and character of synths, bass, vocals, and other sources through audio-rate modulation and spectral delay. At its core, the plugin features a FREQ & HYPE matrix (an XY pad) where FREQ controls the frequency and shape of modulation while HYPE sets the modulation depth and special parameters, creating additional harmonics through formant shifting and spectral delay. What makes Obsidian distinctive is its emphasis on creative, sometimes unexpected results—it's designed to add color and sonic character with minimal tweaking rather than surgical precision processing.
