Abbey Road Chambers is a reverb/delay plugin that recreates the legendary STEED (Send Tape Echo Echo Delay) setup from Abbey Road Studios. It combines tape delay, feedback loops, and impulse responses of physical echo chambers to deliver rich, complex, and spacious reverb effects inspired by classic recordings from the '60s and '70s.

Things to Try

  • 01Increase Feedback until oscillation occurs, then reduce slightly to extend reverb tail without hearing discrete delay taps
  • 02Use Top Cut and Bass Cut filters on the feedback loop to reduce high and low-frequency buildup across multiple loop passes
  • 03Set Mic Position to Wall for more transient emphasis or Room for direct sound in Chamber 2
  • 04Adjust Time X between 0.5 and 1.5 to control apparent reverb tail duration relative to natural chamber decay
