CLA MixHub is an innovative channel strip plugin that organizes and controls up to 64 DAW tracks across 8 buckets of 8 channels each, allowing side-by-side mixing in a single window. Developed in collaboration with Grammy-winning mixer Chris Lord-Alge, it recreates his analog console workflow with precise modeling of his mixing desk character. The plugin combines comprehensive processing modules—input with analog modeling, four-band EQ, dual-mode dynamics, and output control—with unique bucket-based organization for mixing related tracks together.

Things to Try

  • 01Enable Analog and Noise controls in the Input module for console character unless seeking a clean sound
  • 02Use Duo mode in dynamics for independent left/right side chain processing in stereo tracks
  • 03Apply Gate Hold to tighten transients while maintaining natural release behavior
  • 04Route sidechain EQ separately to Gate or Compressor via SC Route for frequency-dependent triggering
  • 05Experiment with Extra Wide in the Output section on parallel processing for aggressive stereo enhancement
