Things to Try

  • 01Switch to Sum/Diff mode on stereo signals to verify no energy drop from phasing problems and ensure difference level is appropriate relative to sum
  • 02Use the Phase correlation meter to check for problematic out-of-phase content (readings between -20 and -39 indicate issues)
  • 03Select appropriate reference level (-20/-18/-14 dBFS) based on your workflow (broadcast, EBU standard, or post-production)
  • 04Enable Peak Auto-Hold mode to catch transient anomalies while monitoring average levels with the middle three red LEDs as target
  • 05Adjust the Delay control if metering response precedes actual audio output in your host application for synchronized visual feedback
