Last updated: January 22, 2025

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all users of Plugin Library. We designed these rules to ensure a safe, fair, and reliable experience for everyone.

We reserve the right to update this AUP at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

2. Account Usage

2.1 One Account Per Person

Each user should maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits, bans, or for any other reason is prohibited.

2.2 No Account Sharing

Your Plugin Library account is personal to you. You may not:

  • Share your login credentials with others
  • Allow others to access the Service through your account
  • Transfer your account to another person
  • Sell or rent access to your account

2.3 Accurate Information

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. Using fake identities or impersonating others is prohibited.

3. Prohibited Activities

  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Bypass any security measures or access controls

3.4 Assistant Abuse

Our recommendation features are designed to help you find the right plugins for your projects. You may not:

  • Prompt injection attacks: Attempt to manipulate the AI through malicious prompts, instructions hidden in text, or attempts to override its intended behavior
  • Data extraction: Try to extract information about our system, other users, or the AI's training data through crafted prompts
  • Abuse rate limits: Make excessive requests to AI features to drain resources or increase our costs
  • Misuse recommendations: Use the AI for purposes unrelated to plugin recommendations (e.g., trying to get it to write code, create content, or answer unrelated questions)
  • Malicious content: Submit harmful, offensive, or illegal content to the AI

We monitor AI usage patterns and may limit or terminate access for users who abuse these features.

3.5 Harmful Content

Any content you submit to the Service (notes, tags, session descriptions) must not:

  • Be illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
  • Contain hate speech or discriminatory content
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Contain malware, phishing links, or malicious code

3.6 Misrepresentation

You may not:

  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Falsely claim ownership of plugins you do not own
  • Use the Service to track or manage pirated software
  • Create misleading or fraudulent content

4. Resource Usage

To ensure fair access for all users, we may impose limits on:

  • Number of plugins in your library (based on subscription tier)
  • AI recommendation requests per day
  • Screenshot uploads per day
  • API requests (when available)
  • Storage for uploaded content

These limits are subject to change. Attempting to circumvent these limits through technical means is prohibited.
