Plugin Library

As your collection grows, filters are how you get back to the right plugin quickly. The filter panel gives you four dimensions — favorites, type, category and vendor — and they stack with whatever is in the search box.

Category Filters

Every plugin and instrument carries a category. The panel lists only the categories your own library actually uses, drawn from a taxonomy that includes:

Compressor

Limiter

Reverb

Delay

Distortion

Saturation

Modulation

Synth

Sampler

Utility

Metering

Open the filter panel

Click the funnel icon next to the search box. The filter panel slides in from the right, and a badge on the icon tells you how many filters are currently on.

Select categories

Click on one or more categories to filter your library. Selected filters show a checkmark and highlighted background. Your library updates instantly.

Combine filters

Select multiple categories to see plugins matching ANY of them (OR logic). For example, selecting "Compressor" and "Limiter" shows all your dynamics processors.

Search understands category:reverb — a fast way to narrow to one category without opening the panel. vendor: and type: work the same way.

Vendor Filters

Filter by manufacturer to see everything you own from one brand. The vendor list is built from your own library, so it only ever lists brands you actually have.

Find the Vendors section

The Vendors section sits at the bottom of the filter panel and is open by default. Click its heading to collapse or reopen it.

Select vendors

Click vendor names to filter, as many as you like. Vendors are listed alphabetically, and a badge on the section heading counts how many you have selected.

Type and Favorites

Two more dimensions sit above the categories in the panel:

Type

Narrow to Effect, Instrument or MIDI Effect — the quickest way to get to your synths and samplers without the processing chain in the way.

Favorites Only

Flip the Favorites Only switch, above the Type section, to see just the plugins you have hearted.

Your Own Tags

You can label any plugin or instrument with your own tags — a reminder of how you actually use it. Tags are personal and only visible to you.

Add a tag to a plugin

Open a plugin's page and find Your Tags. Type a tag and press Enter — tags are created as you go. Click the x on a tag to remove it.

Tags are labels, not a filter

Your tags live on each plugin's own page. The filter panel narrows your library by type, category, vendor and favorites, so a tag won't change what the library view shows.

Combining Filters with Search

Filters and search stack. With both in play you see only the plugins that match your search text and every filter you have on.

Power workflow

Filter to a category first, then search within it. For example: select "Reverb" filter, then search "plate" to find all your plate reverbs.

Clearing Filters

Clear individual filters

Click an active filter again to deselect it. The count on the section heading drops as you go.

Clear all filters

Click Clear All Filters at the bottom of the filter panel. It resets every filter but leaves your search text alone.

Not seeing everything you own?

Check the funnel icon next to the search box. When any filter is on it carries a badge with the number of active filters — that badge is usually the answer to a library that looks emptier than it should.
