Analog is a virtual analog synthesizer created in collaboration with Applied Acoustics Systems that uses physical modeling to simulate analog circuitry rather than sampling or wavetables. It combines features from legendary vintage synthesizers into a modern instrument with two oscillators, noise generator, dual multi-mode filters, and comprehensive modulation capabilities. The sound is calculated in real time by the CPU, ensuring unmatched sound quality, realism, warmth and playing dynamics.

06MPE support with Pressure, Slide and per-note pitch bend destinations
07Unison effect with 2 or 4 stacked voices and detune control
08Vibrato, glide with constant or proportional modes, and stretch tuning

Things to Try

  • 01Set one oscillator's Key scaling slightly different from 100% and play scales to create evolving detuning effects as you move away from middle C
  • 02Map a MIDI controller to the Sync ratio for analog nastiness and changing harmonic content
  • 03Use AD-R loop mode with short attack and release times to simulate instruments with audible dampers
  • 04Configure serial routing with both oscillators feeding Filter 1, then Filter 2, for stacked filtering effects
