Chord Trigger

Apple

Chord Trigger is a MIDI FX plugin that lets you trigger full chords by playing a single MIDI key. It features two modes—Single Chord mode for transposing a memorized chord across the keyboard, and Multi Chord mode for assigning different chords to individual keys—making it ideal for playing chord progressions with one hand while freeing the other for melody or other parts.

Key Features

01Single/Multi Chord modes for flexible chord triggering
02Adjustable chord trigger range with visual handles on upper keyboard
03Learn mode for assigning chords via onscreen keyboard or MIDI keyboard
04Chord Transpose field with up to four octaves of transposition
05Clear button to erase individual chord assignments or all chords
06Remote Learn control via assignable MIDI note
07Display of incoming MIDI notes on upper keyboard and chord output on lower keyboard

Things to Try

  • 01In Single Chord mode, assign a chord to C2 then play D2 to transpose the chord upward by two semitones
  • 02In Multi Chord mode, drag the center of the chord trigger range left or right to transpose an entire C-Major progression into D-Major
  • 03Use the Learn Remote feature to assign a MIDI keyboard note as a remote control for starting and stopping Learn mode
