Match EQ is a learning equalizer plugin for Logic Pro that analyzes and matches the frequency spectrum of one audio signal to another, allowing you to apply the tonal character of a reference file (such as a professional mix or mastered track) to your own material. It uses intelligent spectral analysis to create an adaptive filter curve, making it ideal for achieving sonic consistency across multiple songs or imparting a specific sonic character to your projects.

Things to Try

  • 01Drag an audio file directly to the Reference Learn button, then click Current Learn and play your mix to automatically generate a matching curve
  • 02Reduce the Apply slider below 100% to avoid extreme spectral changes and create a more subtle tonal match
  • 03Enable Ease-In to gradually flatten the curve in the low frequency range, or Ease-Out in the high frequency range, for smoother transitions at frequency extremes
  • 04Use the Analyzer button during playback to visually compare your current signal spectrum against the reference curve in real time
