Modulation

TriceraChorus

Eventide

TriceraChorus is a modulation plugin that pairs BBD-style tri-chorus with Eventide MicroPitch detuning, inspired by classic 1970s-80s chorus units. It features three independent chorus voices modulated by a three-phase LFO, plus stereo frequency shifting via the Swirl mode, making it ideal for adding richness and spatial depth to synths, strings, vocals, guitar, and bass.

Key Features

01Three chorus voices (Left, Center, Right) with three-phase LFO modulation
02Chorus and Chorale modes with distinct modulation characteristics
03Stereo frequency shifting via Swirl control for psychedelic flange-like effects
04Detune control with ±40 cents range for left and right channels in opposing directions
05Ribbon performance control for morphing between two settings
06Hotswitch for instant switching between two programmed sounds
07Envelope-controlled Mix and Rate with adjustable sensitivity
08Tone control for shaping high and low frequencies of the wet signal

Things to Try

  • 01Use Delay values between 50–100 ms for slapback chorus sounds, or 1.5–10 ms for typical chorus
  • 02Set individual Depth controls to OFF to remove specific voices and preserve stereo imaging
  • 03Apply negative Envelope Rate values with faster LFO Rate settings to create fade-in vibrato on signal attack
  • 04Detuning left and right channels in opposite directions spreads the stereo field by setting Detune to opposing amounts (e.g., –30L/+30R)
