Obsession is a polyphonic analog synthesizer emulation that recreates the sound and character of a famous vintage synthesizer through meticulous modeling of voltage-controlled oscillators, filters, and amplifiers. Its distinctive feature is comprehensive individual voice control, where each of the 8 or 16 voice boards can be independently tailored with trimpot adjustments to cutoff frequency, amp release, and oscillator/filter scaling, creating the organic, lively character authentic vintage poly synths are known for.

Things to Try

  • 01Turn the Cutoff Frequency trimpot left to lower that voice's cutoff, or right to raise it above average
  • 02Adjust the Amp Release trimpot left to shorten release time or right to extend it per voice
  • 03Use the reverb with added Shimmer effect to lift pads, leads, and atmospheric sounds to a new dimension
  • 04Employ the LFO Steps control with freehand drawing to create rhythmic, tempo-synced modulation of almost every sound parameter
